Big problems for Spotless Mind!!I found this on the Internet:

The editor is an Icelandic woman ValdĂs Ă“skarsdĂłttir. There was an interview with her on an Icelandic movie website. She was really angry. Early this summer there was a test screening in New Jersey. 50% of the audience really liked the film but the other 50% didn´t understand the picture. And all agreed that Jim Carrey wasn´t funny in the film. Well ValdĂs says he is not supposed to be funny and the film isn´t comedy but the studio execs panicked and demanded a new cut. Since then there have been other test screenings and she is not happy with the new cut. In her opinion the old cut was by far the superior and the last few months have been a disaster caused by the studio.

// TNPihl

Visit The Jim Carrey Net or My New Message Board

re: problemsDoes this mean the movie will be delayed from the original release date?

ProblemsThat is why the movie has been pushed back from November 11 until March 19 of next year.
// TNPihl

Visit The Jim Carrey Net or My New Message Board

Yeah, this story is about two months old nowI seen this story a while back, in september, I'm not sure why I didn't post it, sorry about that. All it tells me is that this movie is not going to be a audience movie, none of Charlie Kaufman's have done well with the masses, they've been for the people that like a challenge when they go to the theater.

Re: I heard about this.I heard abou this also as well.

Re: On the other hand...ARGH! I hate when ppl just don't get it! Oh!From one hand is bad there's no funny in the film but it has a reason. Maybe the movie hasn't to be funny. I haven't seen it yet but it must be a great film. Elijah is there and He is a good actor too. Maybe It's incredible. I know Jim did his best cause he's good too.

I Saw This Movie...What Is The Problem?Hey all!

I went with Juliette (JT Carrey) to see the first LA screening of the movie and I must say that I do not understand what all the fuss is about.

I loved the movie because I love "Jim-Carrey-Dramatic-Actor" just as much as I do "Jim-Carrey-Funny-Man". Jim can do both, so why should he not be able to branch out from comedy when he wants to? He did a wonderful job as well as rest of the cast.

Yes, the movie tends to jump around a bit at times but that is part of the plot. Just like people got confused with Truman Show. Maybe it is just me, but I never was confused with that movie either.

Yes, this movie has it's weird spots. But that goes along with the plot. I do not know how much of the movie has been altered or changed since I have seen it which was back in October. But I thought it was fine the way it was. That is why I ask in my title of this post, "What is the problem?" The movie was great already, why try to fix something that is not broke?

But I have not seen any updated or newer versions, so of course, my opinion my change when I see the final product. So until then, we will all sit on pins and needles with anticipation!

Love & Humor,
Marissa
My Jim Site: Jim Carrey Is My Inspiration!

"If you give up on your dreams, what's left?" - Jim Carrey
Email Me @ [email protected]
