Kismet

Here's an example of my excess kismet of late:

My cousin has a laptop that he left at home. It HAD been picking up a wireless signal and opened the web at home.

Alas, it was short lived. A few days before they left it started saying it was CONNECTED, but couldn't find the browser, couldn't display the page.

So I have continued to check in from the library computers. Which isn't bad....they're always available. Yesterday thy had a problem and today the computers were totally down. I called for an update and this guy, Peter, said if I had a laptop I could still use the library's wireless connection.

So I moseyed over with the laptop....and it did the same thing it was doing at home. So I asked Peter for some help and he found out what the problem is and showed me how to get the net.

I think this is going to work from home, too!
I have my fingers crossed!

Helooooooo....looks like it didn't work huh? I once used a computer that needed a hug to start it. Probably some loose connection inside, but I liked to think that the hug made it feel better

So, you are suggesting I canoodle with the laptop?

No kidding, on the way home from the library a car passed me with a vanity licence plate. It said:
