Wildest New Year's MomentYeah, i don't have one...yet. But i am interested to hear some of yours...
Dodging fire crackers in St Marks Square in Venice.....(VERY dangerous)
Getting engaged in a local country pub in front of a roaring log fire as musicians played traditional Scottish music around us..........that was on millenium night................(but as you know i'm not with him now ,thank goodness...........lol ) Championship level drunken Monopoly.........lol...........i'm my defence the weather was atrocious and no-one went out that year.........lol Dodging the 'world famous' Fireballs in Stonehaven........(huge burning balls on chains that really beefy, strong men twirl around their heads) http://www.coull.ssebroadband.co.uk/photo.htm and traditional Scottish 'first footing'.......going around the neighbours with coal and cake............. fluffy Fluffy
When a high school friend decided to climb the big Christmas tree in the Grand Place in Brussels and got hauled down the street by police.
Then it was, "Jill.....you go in and talk to the police, you have the impressive passport and you know French." So eventually the police agreed to let us take him home. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

One of my favourite memories is of a New Year in 1995, my freind Beth had come over from New Jersey so we decided to go to Trafalger Square to see the new year in, we went to Pub and we decided to really go for it, Beth downed about 1/2 a bottle of Vodka in about 30 mins and got absolutly smashed. We met a couple of canadian guys and beth started snogging this hunk, then she turned green a thru up (just avoiding the guys feet) It was hilarious......but I think you had to be there to see the funny side !!! After that she sobered up and we had a brill time just hanging out with all the poeple on holiday from around the world...such a laugh, super memory....don't ever want that erased.
hehthis isn't the most exciting thing ever, but my bf is twelve years older then me...I was 20 and he was 32, he snuck me into this bar and I was all decked out for the New Year in this short little sparkly dress. Well after he had a few drinks, he was feeling pretty good and kept lifting the back of my dress showing off my arse in a thong...I wasn't drunk...i didnt find it too funny until some of our mutual friends started slipping money in the side of my thong while my bf and I were dancing and he continued to lift it. We made twenty some bucks that night...I laugh now but its still not that exciting. lol

hahLOL = I am glad you enjoyed that. I think back now and find it rather hilarious too actually. The most exciting part, was the fact I was able to take my drunk boyfriend to Taco Bell before going home LOL.

I remember a good night in Glasgow as they came to the end of their 'European City of Culture' stint. Think it was 1990. Partying my way through a city I didn't know with my (then) boyfriend. Being photographed by Americans as I kissed said guy, because they insisted no-one kissed like that in public in their hometown!
Woke up next morning in bed with four men!!!! But we were all individually wrapped in our own sleeping bags! It was a cooolllllldddd Scottish night!! Everybody should believe in something.
I believe I'll have another coffee!
Well, one was my then boyfriend, so I guess he was OK. Another I remember as being OK, but rich! The other two.....my memory fails me, so I guess not that good!
Regardless, we all had a laugh and enjoyed the night and that's what counts 15 years on, right? The particulars are a side line. Everybody should believe in something.
I believe I'll have another coffee!
lol...........y'see a Scottish New Year is world famous..........lol...........
lol.............they all go crazy in Edinburgh and we get serious bands playing all over the country for free..............it's one big 'knees up'...........lol....... but i confess, i'm not such a lover of a wild Scottish rammy........lol..... i prefer a smaller party with friends and loved ones, being relaxed and chilled and yourself........... i'd rather not be freezing my buns off in the middle of a mass riot outside in the rain.......lol.... but each to their own..........lol What's really cool this year is Edinburgh is holding 'Dogmany' on the 1st..... yep New year for dogs.............lol..........they will be having husky races etc and games just for our furry pals..............lol cute!! fluffy Fluffy
I think this New Year's Day will be...my most interesting.
One year a group of us had blind dates. Some French exchange students who barely spoke English, I had only limited high school French so our evening was a hoot; we dashed to San Francisco and wined/dined and had a blast- Mostly we played an interesting game of Charades as our language barrier was a factor, but ooh we had a good time trying to communicate!
