Have you seen Leaving Las Vegas?I saw this and thought it was a very interesting movie. The fact she was a prosititute, and he a drunk; two very lost people finding love. Her sessions with the therapist was so very telling. What a seductive career, but oh... the negatives that go with it. Not everyone will do anything for money. How do you change careers after that? She's a great actress. I thought the therapist scenes were so important to the story. Why did she do it?
it was a really good movie but i found it quite depressing...the acting on both elizabeth and nicholas' parts were amazing but the movie made me feel a little, well - icky
I agree, perfect adjective 'icky'; I just thought Elizabeth Shue was a great actress (So is Nick Cage) The only good thing was two very lonely, unhappy people, found love in the most unusual way; pity they could not just walk away from their lives and live 'happily ever after', born again
Honestly, I felt 'icky' after watching Pulp Fiction, too.
me too (re PF) but what a great weaving together of stories...makes you wonder how your life is affecting someone you don't even know...hmmmmm
back to leaving las vegas: it's interesting to me how there are some people who almost CRAVE negativity and unhappiness even in their pursuit of what they call 'happiness'...i know a couple people like that and they literally suck the energy right from my body
