Howdy partner.......
erm, I've just developed an interest in Jeff Daniels, after seeing him in "Dumb and Dumber" and "Pleasantville" and also "The Hours". I really like him and I'd like to see more of him. So I'd just like to ask if any of you have seen other movies of him before; what would you suggest that I watch?
Thanks for reading~

Yeah, Jeff Daniels is great in all these films. He was also good in 101 Dalmatians. I just think it's a huge HUGE shame he never does comedies!
He was excellent in Dumb and Dumb, absolutely hilarious.

Thanks for the list cablegal~! I nearly forgot he was in Speed. I also nearly forgot he was in 101 dalmatians! I saw that when I was a kid...
I was surprised to see him in The Hours, I was thinking, this guy looks so familiar
Fly away home sounds good and The Butcher's wife~! I also think Blood Work is showing on movie one... gosh i love cable.
So he does mainly serious roles?

I'm afraid so.
Doesn't he realise that he has a natural talent for comedy?

Just looked at your signature
He does have talent.... but I guess if he decides to stay with serious roles, i wouldn't mind. I'd still watch out for his movies I also looked at his biography and stuff; he's taller than Jim. I never realised it. He's also 7 years older.
I really loved him as Harry

Oh Jeff! He's brilliant. He can be Harry or Colonel Chamberlain.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY STRONGLY (hint) recommend Jeff's performance in Gettysburg. The prequel, Gods and Generals, was brilliant, but only if you loved the film Gettysburg and can identify with Stonewall Jackson's struggle, his story. Both films are based on the Pulitzer Prize winning author, Jeff Shaara's works.
There are 2 scenes in G&G with Jeff that broke my heart, he was so unbearably brilliant - genuine, pure, emotional, and all about his intellect. I just love him as Chamberlain.
Something Wild. He can make a white, pasty, suit look halfway sexy.

I have seen "Dumb and Dumber", "Arachnophobia", "Speed" and partly "101 Dalmatiner". The last one was bad, the rest was good.
But Speed came to much on TV. I think they always take it, when they don't know what to show.
I'm qì, my friend.

Yeah, I did complain, then they said they didn't have another copy of it.... so i had to choose something else Oh well...
I think I should rewatch Speed. I watched it when I was really young.... so I just remember parts when they say they can't go slower than... 50 km/h was it? Sandra Bullock was in that movie....... So vague.... hehe
