Jim Carrey certainly knows how to make an entrance, arriving at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie Yes Man in a giant hamster ball.
Rather bizarrely the actor didn't offer any explanation as to why he opted to rock up on the red carpet in such a manner, but it certainly got people talking.
"This film is the first time that my comedy crazy insane side has molded with my self-help search for the meaning of life side," Jim told reporters. "It's the first self-help comedy."
The special screening in Westwood was also a fundraising benefit for Generation Rescue, a charity very close to Jim and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy's heart since her son was diagnosed with autism.
"It's about bio-medical intervention for autistic children and of course getting the message out there about vaccines and their safety. They're doing such wonderful work, Generation Rescue has been there for people, it certainly saved Evan's life so Jenny and I are now involved with it," he said.
Director Peyton Reed confessed to being a tad jealous over Jim's attention-grabbing entrance: "I wish I'd said yes to that because that looks amazing, I want to do that."
Co-star Zooey Deschanel told the press she'd learned to exercise some self-constraint, but was definitely saying yes more often since making the picture.
"But I know when to say no," she added.
