Jeff Daniels said the other day that it will be made. They have decided to push the shooting of it to next year (May or June). Jeff Daniels wants to shoot The Newsroom in November, so there is not time this year.

He MUST do it. When I heard that the Farrelly brothers want to do Dumb and Dumber 2 and that both Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels would be in it was like a dream come true since Dumb and Dumber is my most favorite movie. Not just Jim's but most favorite of all!! Of course they need the old style like in Dumb and Dumber in the second part instead of making it like a "modern" comedy movie, though.
Then I read that Jim backed out and was like, "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" I don't know if it's just because of lack of enthusiasm of others or maybe also because Jim wants to do other and more serious movies than he did in the past. But he has already proven that he can do other movies and so there is nothing to lose for him. On the contrary, I'm sure D&DII would be very successful.
Maybe you guys should all beg him on Twitter about it (without endless spam, of course). I already did . Maybe we can change his mind when he sees how much his fans want to see a real D&DII .

I don't think Jim wants to wait until next year to shoot this movie. This thing ''we start filming in may or june 2013'' is just a lie honestly to give the fans a little hope, but as i said in previous posts, i don't think this movie will happen after all. Early next year (in january, february) i'm very sure that Jim will say in an interview ''No, it's not happening. Sorry guys!''
