Veysel have you seen on other sites that it should begin filming already now? It was confirmed by Jim Carrey's team in the beginning of the month that he was not doing it.

So, Steven Spielberg is doing The BFG, by Roald Dahl. Scripted by the writer who did E.T. in the 80s. For me, that's a dream team. I don't know if the big friendly giant is going to be all make-up or CGI (motion capture), but either way I believe Jim would be able to pull that off. He's a master in doing voices and a god when it comes to body language and transforming himself in something or someone else.

I hope Spielberg has the same idea. :p He did recognize Jim as one of the most unique talents in Hollywood when he wanted him for "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Anyway, would be great. One can hope, isn't it?

I too want Jim to do work with well established directors like speilberg, cameron, guy ritchie, christopher nolan, quentin tarantino. Hope some mind blowing script comes and they cast Jim in it.

Old movie but great things could be made with this one.
