Rather to say it has been Banned from many public schools Prayer is prayer no matter What faith it is from We should have a celebration of All faiths thats why many Of our ancestors came to this Country In irder to pray

what does p*ss me off is when Schools and councils ban Christmas. It really makes me sad when schools end up having concerts at Xmas which make no mention of Christmas and choose a generic secular theme. What's the point in having them then? And we no longer have Xmas holidays, it's Winterfest apparently.....

My opinion might not be very popular here, but the way I see it, "God" has no place in school. By that I mean that prayers and things like that are things to practice in private places or places that celebrate certain religions. On the other hand, people of all religions should be able to go to any school they want, if their religion allows it. Kids must learn ABOUT religions of all kind, to get familiar with them. But not learn A religion.

We have big issues here with folk setting up so called religious private schools in their living rooms, which preach a very limited curriculum and use very dodgy texts and materials which say integration is bad, they teach intolerance and hate. The inspectorate are finally looking into these 'schools' but it's a very worrying time.

My own personal opinion is that we should teach about ALL faiths in school, the kids need to learn about acceptance and understanding regardless of their religion. We're all in this life together, it will make it much easier if folk can respect each other. Scottish primary schools are pretty good at this but parents should not be able to remove their kids for those lessons.
