Why do you do it to us Jim?

Postby dick261108 » Tue Oct 15, 2002 12:28 pm

Yo.

I was just watching Me, Myself & Irene and I was thinking: why do you do it to us Jim? I mean, the guy goes and makes a great film like the Majestic, then goes and signs up for a flop for MM&I. Why?

I find the content of MM&I quite offensive actually. Does anyone else feel like that. I mean, I totally love the guy, but I felt awkward when watching the film because it is quite rude in some places. I watched it with my mum you see.

The Majestic is Jim Carrey's finest acheivement. I have not ever seen finer acting by any other hollywood star. The on-screen chemistry between him and Laurie is great! They should do more films together. What do you think about a majestic 2? Sounds like a pretty damn great idea to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else in here think that MM&I is a good film? I think it is ok but not very good though. It is just too rude for me. I hate it. So what's it to be folks The Maj or MM&I?

Why does he do it?

Dick.

Well, I personally like both. But to be honest, after the very first time I saw Me, Myself, and Irene, I was dissapointed because I did not like it as much as I was expecting to like it. I was too hyped up for it, and this in fact made me grumpy. But now, after watching it a few more times I've come to enjoy MM&I as well as the wonderful Majestic.

I like MMI, it's very funny. But I also think that it is a bit too shallow sometimes. There are parts in it that I could live without.
Well, and The Majestic is just... AMAZING!

I liked MM&I for its comedy tempo and Jim's skill with his role(s) And seeing Jim in that uniform riding a motorcycle... wowser! However, there were parts in it that did make me blush (I won't say what parts). But I knew that going in from all the news that came in to JCO and by its rating ("R", folks).

I do have a favorite scene, though, that just makes me howl: When Irene kicks Hank upside the head and he goes flying over the fence and rolls flamboyantly down the hillside. MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! OMG. I love that scene.

But, I DO Like "The Majestic" a lot better, too. *shrugs*

Carrey ON!
BCDavis
<table style=="filter:glow(color=green, strength=7);font-family:arial;font-weight: BOLD;font-size:'10pt'" allign=center>

"Funny the things you remember, not so funny the things you forget..."

I thought MMI was great, and The Majestic was ok, but Jim Carrey had to use such a language, cuz he had to play Hank; "The mean one" in the story. I mean could you imagine Hank going like "Excuse me, pardon me, lovely lady, or thank you"
He had too, it's just a character anyway...
