Who has eaten a grilled cheese sandwich dipped in ketchup?!?

Postby FunnyGirl » Sun Apr 10, 2005 6:01 pm

I recently read the FAQs and .. His favorite food is that? ha! It makes me laugh. Though, out of all the foods in the world- fruit, muffins, cake, chocolate, french bread, kentucky fried chicken, barbeque, steak, seafood (lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops!), and everything else!!!... he decided Grilled. Cheese. Sandwiches... in ketchup. Dipped in ketchup. Now to me that's like putting jello on your pizza, but does anyone think it's good? Come on! Wouldn't he rather have a dish of lobster with some sirloin steak, a baked potato melted in with sour cream, bacon bits, and chives, and a fluffy roll topped with mouth watering butter...... Ok great. Now I'm hungry. But tell me if it tastes ok! If so, I'll try it for lunch. Beforehand, I wanted to make sure this wasn't a joke, and that I wouldn't be ill. Thanks!

I like it. I tried it before but not cause it is Jim's fave but because my fave foods are ketchup, cheese, bread and butter. Not by themselves of course.lol If you want to know what grilled cheese and ketchup taste like than try to imagine eating a cheeseburger with out the meat. They taste the same.

I like grilled cheese sandwiches dipped in tomato soup. I remember eating that as a kid. But no Velveeta...real cheese on the sandwich. I have a Velveeta vendetta because I think it's really a plastic, and not a dairy, product. I wouldn't be nearly as cantankerous if Velveeta hadn't recently come out with a commecial that insults real Cheddar....but I digress.

I think a grilled cheese dipped in ketchup might be ok. But I LOVE it in tomato soup....mostly because it gives me warm fuzzy memories of my childhood.

I like a little grape jelly on my scrambled eggs, too.

Maybe I'm just quirky.

Quirky, I remember eating grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup all the time when I was little.. They were really good! mmm... I should have that again sometime.

Ok Cotton, I'll try it... I guess I like ketchup.. and melted cheese and bread.. But all I'm saying is how is that his favorite food? It seems like there are so many other great choices..... Ah, I know. Probably because it makes us either laugh or be disgusted, which makes him the center of attention! Last night I did stand up for my mom and brother again- everyone likes special attention!! :P Still, it's my duty to find out exactly what it tastes like, so yeah, that's my afternoon snack today. How bad can it be?

comeback and tell us what you think.

Grilled cheese sandwiches is a popular bachelor man meal. I have a funny feeling Jim lived off of them when he was single and poor and they have probably been his favorite ever since.
