I have a birthday which tends, at times, to bite. This is because it is tax day here in the U.S.

For those who are unaware, this is the day when many folks have to send the government free money even though they took it OUT of our paychecks all year long.

This year had a minor windfall, which was, oddly enough NOT the result of a lawsuit. But it was extra income which shoved me into a very dark and murky bracket and I rendered $5000+ unto Ceasar today.

But that's life.

I went to late lunch with my Grandma and had 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties and two slices of french toast. It was sublime. The eggs were really fresh and I was able to eat them my favorite way...with a little bit of grape jelly. (Hey...it's no odder than dipping your grilled cheese in ketchup.)

I also had to renew my Driver's License. Lo and behold...the birthday graces were upon me because the picture doesn't suck.
