I loved it! A big 10 here! I loved watching his four part character developments. He is so talented, I don't know how anyone can't see it. He really puts his all into every part he does, and watching his character developments proves it.
I also liked how into the project the director is. He put a lot of stuff in these DVDs and he has nothing but praise for Jim. That's always great!
hey JT mine came with a book too. My dvd came with "Book The First: The Bad Begining", i already owned the book because i had all 11 books before the movie even came out in theatres. I thought it was kind of cool how the special edition included one of the books the movie was based on.
I finally picked up my copy last night. I loved the extras, especially the Interactive Olaf and Making a bad actor. A ten, of course!
I also got the collecter's edition. It's so cool. My favorite extras are Interactive Olaf, Deleted Scenes, and the outtakes. I was hearing a lot of giggling when Jim was doing his improv in these extras. It's great that Jim can still make people laugh. I give the whole DVD a 10 out of 10.
Ok.................i've finally seen it and i'm predictably blown away......
Beautiful filming, stunning visuals, the kids were fantastic and Jim is outstanding.......................i've seen a couple of the out-takes and his character changes etc are amazing........................ The accents are also absolutely perfect..........how on earth does he do it?...there appears to be no-one else on earth as good as Jim at such complex characterisation............ Plus the story theme is very pertinent to us all............basically don't focus on the clouds, seek the sun through them......one day the clouds will break................. and i have a naughty confession...... i LURVE his soft, menacing, low sounding Count Olaf voice........especially in the 1st screen test shots..............lol.........'ooer missus'..... i'll go and splash some cold water on my face.......... fluffy
Oops...I put my review in the wrong place. Under post when you see it. I bought the DVD and saw it a week or so ago.
Ten out of ten. Fluffy - I want a virtual Olaf noise machine that says, "Hellooo...helllloooo.....heeeelllloooooo." when I go into my bedroom at night. "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
well it's a relief to know i'm not the only one there.....lol..........
his voice is just so s*xy...........prrrrrr prrrrrrr prrrrrrrr........(i'm purring now...lol ) god, it's like melted chocolate being poured into your mind...........delicious....... i wonder if he actually realises his power??? fluffy
Believe me Fluff if he comes on this site and reads our posts than he knows he has the power.
I would put on my front door so I could scare away robbers. www.youtube.com/user/jimcarreyonline
oh god, how embarrassing...............lol..........he'll have me pegged as some sex mad kinky schoolteacher with a penchant for S&M (my marquis comments.....lol)........oh crumbs, ............i've written a heap of (ahem) kinky themed ones.........lol.....
But i really did it for my amusement..........lol Although i could be persuaded.... ..........lol .....keep dreaming Nicky....... fluffy
I wonder what Jim would grade it?
Countess Maria Desiree Alvarez Olaf!
ForeVeR!!!!!!!!!!! "Can't we just listen to the radio?!" "Radio?, huh?, who needs a radio?" "Ready, Harry?" "Mock!" "Yeah!" "Ring!" "Yeah!"....................... Dumb & Dumber
a minus 10 that is MENTAL!
I would give it an 11/10... i rele liked it and i rele like the extras too. i like the deleted scenes, they are GREAT! and i like how Jim Carrey did all the improve and they tookv it and put it in the film...oh my...Jim is awsome, hes my hero.
