Hello ladies & gents!

I am currently preparing to write an article on a topic that I need your assistance with. I intend on eventually turning this into an e-book. However, I will NOT use your name or any other personal information in the report. So feel free to help me out without strings attacted.

I need both men & women to respond.

My article is on "What Women Want". But I also need some man-perspectives as well to add to the report.

All I need for you to do is write me a list of 10 things that you are looking for in the opposite sex.

Here are the guidelines:

1. Be as simple or as detailed as you would like.

2. Please be COMPLETELY honest & do not tell me what you think others want to hear. Be true to your own heart. I need seriousness and honesty for this article.

3. If you would like to keep your list private you can PM me otherwise just post it here in this thread.

1. A man who understands me-understands my progressive genetic handicap.

2. Allows me to struggle with it-allows my independence. Doesn't baby me-too much. If I am walking, and I am stumbling-in a way that may cause me to fall-he will allow me to fall (I've done it before.) That is-if I won't hurt my head or embarrass myself(like if we are at the Oscars.)
He should know when it's all right to offer help (he doesn't smother my independent nature-or need to try to do things,)

3. Allows me to speak my mind-does't prevent me from talking. I have a lot to say, and I do have good ideas. (I am not perfect though. I am human-I would hate to meet a perfect person-they would be so predictably boring.)

4. He must be gorgeous and gentlemanly-open doors for me, hold the umbrella when it rains, and hold hands in public (he would have to support me when we walk).

5. He should be taller than me(I'm 5'8 1/2").

6. He should not be shy about walking beside my wheelchair when we go for walks or walk the dog (which I do twice a day).

7. He should be strong and have muscles. I want to play-and if he can carry me-I'd love it.

8. He should like to be babied, pampered, and have home cooking (I've been cooking since I was 12).

9. Be concerned about finding a cure for Cerebellar Ataxia.

10. Make me laugh and cheer me up when I'm down.

11. I'll be his clown, muse, chef, mender, hugging buddy, and listen to his joys and sorrows

TURN ONS

I like a guy who is bigger than me, (I am 5'10") for some reason I like 'em over 6 foot tall. Thin or thick, no body type preference..

I like a guy who isn't possessive, treats me like an equal, not a maid or waitress. Someone who gives as much in a relationship as he takes.

I don't care how much money they make or what kind of car they have. As long as they have a respectable job (one where people aren't taken advantage of or scammed, an "honest" living).

If they don't have a sense of humor, forget it. I need someone who can make me laugh and keep me laughing. Sarcasm is a plus.

I, too, like a guy who holds open doors, carries your packages and treats me like a lady.

If plans are made and for some reason they can't make it, I want a phone call letting me know so I'm not waiting for their asses instead of making other plans with friends. I don't care if they're hitting the strip club with the fellas, just let me know your not coming over!

I want a guy who isn't looking over my shoulder to see if something better is coming along. I don't want to be the "you'll do for now girl" I want to be the "the One."

1) He should accept me as i am.
2) He should make me laugh.
3) He should have a pleasing personality.
4) He shouldnt smoke , drink or do drugs & preferrably veg. as i am veg. too. In case if he is non veg. then he shouldnt force me to eat or cook for him.
5) He should be one woman's man. I should be his first love like he will be mine..( a virgin of course).
6) He should believe & follow spirituality.
7) He should be honest, romantic, luving, understanding & caring.
8 ) He should be well built & medium height...( coz i am 5:1").
9) Caste, religion or nationality no bar. He should basically be a good human being.
10) He should be down to earth & independent with a respectable job.

10 things I'm looking for in the opposite sex? Okay, here goes....

1) Sense of humor- has to be able to make me laugh, it's a must
2) Good laugh- has to have a good laugh, casue I love making people laugh
3) Happy- No depressed gothic type girls that slit their wrists and think the world is about them
4) Smile- They have to have that kind of smile that when you see it, you want to see it again, and again, and again....
5) Food- They have to eat like a normal person, there's too many girls that starve themselves, Paris Hilton isn't attractive to everyone I'm not saying I want someone overweight, but being too skinny is scary

I only have five for now, but I'll probably think of more and edit them in.

1) He would not ever hit me.

2) He is trustworthy, and expects the same of me.

3) He does not have a drug or drinking problem.

4) He loves to laugh and has a sense of humor.

5) He has lots of different interests.

6) He is independent and will allow me to be independent, too. No smothering.

7) He is intelligent and willing to change his mind.

He cares about his family...and wants kids.

9) He is financially independent.

10) He loves life and wants to enjoy every day.

Hmmm.... it is not from best to bad or bad to best but only how it comes to my mind at the moment:


-she should have a good body (not too fat, not too thin, not full of muscles but normal)
-she should have a nice face
-she should have a nice character so that I can talk about everything with her knowing that she would not make fun of me
-she should be intelligent and healthy (not havingAIDS and this stuff)
-she should understand me and accept my decisions, hobbies etc. (with decisions are only the ones like what I want to do for myself are ment, when we are talking about somethig that we want to do together she surely does not have to accept what I want)
-she should have a normal outward appearance (not wearing clothes like prostitutes, metal freaks, punks or other "strange" things)
-she should have humour
-she should have a job so that we can earn much money together
-she should not lie at me, have relationships with other men (or perhaps women) during the time I am together with her and all that bad stuff
-she should think that our relationship is important and not break it when we argue one time or because she doesn't love me really or something like that

It is not so that I don't accept women that have not some points of that but if I had to choose 10 important points they look like these.

Im not sure if its too late to post this, but i am.

1) a kind person - not cocky or full of themselves thinking they are better then everyone else
2)There own person - dont try to be like everyone else and be themselves, never try to hide who they rele are.
3) Funny and outgoing - not afraid to laugh at stupid jokes, or tell them. A little crazy and spontanious.
4)Not too bad- i dont want a preppy goodie guy (hell no) Believe me, i dont mind if he does stupid things infront of people,or goes to parties and gets a little crazy, but i dont want someonewho is like im so bad, i gotta go steal shit and get in fights and beat the shit out of everyone that gets in my way, thats just annoying.
5)Not Superficial - They arent always like, i need a perfect body a great figure, beautiful face, im not like that, neither should he.
6)A little romantic - will do things every once in a while, cute little things, a single rose, or a cute comment, going that little bit further to make you weak in the knees.
7)never abuse anything - drugs, slcohal, me, anyone else, himself, anything.
Not a puppy - not a lost puppy that is attached to your hip and will follow you around to make sure he is always with you and included. no you time.
Not controling - We have to be here, we have to do this, you cant go there, you cant do this, you cant see that person, screw that!
9)Always there - a good listener, not just going to say, youll get over it, end of conversation. im not saying sappy, im saying, showing he cares.
10)involved- family, with friends, doesnt mind, and is not scared of your family. and likes to be involved woth what you do with them.
