I'm sorry to hear it Cotton. I think I read about some great new treatments for that, though. I hope everything turns out ok and I will certainly pray for your family. Hang in there darlin'.

I'll pray for him too.

I have had quite a few uncles who had this, and they're all doing well, so no need to worry.

Thanks for all your kind words. My Mom called me and said that my Dad talked to the doctor and he said it will be treatable. So I am feeling a little better now. Thanks.

What I don't understand is that millions of dollars are going into research into finding a cure, what about prevention? I was looking at some family history and a great grandma showed her death as "
Cancerous Tumor" this was in 1890's, why is it 100 years later we still
haven't come up with something to take care of this.
If the researches have had so much money poured in, how much more
money needs to go into the pot and how much longer will it take, have we
not progressed all that much in finding a cure or prevention?,
what if Cancer is a product of our own making eg. pollution in water system, presensitivity to the condition etc.
The law of relativity came in a few years, which explains part of the universe etc., and assisted with the Hbomb
why is it, to destroy life we find the solution quickly, but
to preserve life it takes hundreds of years.

Canadian Jayne, you hit the nail right on the head!

This is exactly the kind of thing I wonder about. Did you by chance, catch that guy on one of the Canadian cable channels? His name is Kevin Trudeau, and he was saying that there is a natural cure for everything. He believes, that the pharmaceutical companies PLUS the fast food industry is partly to blame for disease. That there is no need to take medicine, because it's making us sicker, not better. There is a natural cure for everything, according to this guy, and that includes cancer.

Alot of what he says rings true. And the best part, was how we're injecting animals with all these chemicals and steroids, and that's one of the reasons Europe won't buy our meat. He brought up the point that North Americans are the unhealthiest people on the planet.

Here is a link to the transcipt of the show he was on. But please be aware, he makes a lot of bold statements that may irritate you. Also, I read that the book he's plugging, doesn't give you the cures he's talking about. You still have to get access to a special website, so you have to shell out more money.

But the stuff he's saying is very interesting.
