Have you ever lost a job?

Postby wonderbunny » Sun Jul 17, 2005 4:20 pm

I have been growing through a period of enlightenment. I lost a job a few years ago and it was a heartbreaking experience. With the loss, came a lot of soul searching. I began reading stories about others who lost their jobs and upon reflection they realize it was the best thing that ever happened to them. Some of the most successful people have lost a job or two in their lives, and are better for it. Do you have a story?

I have lost a job and it did lead to something better; I wouldn't go into details. But it wasn't the crisis - that's another story. Even though I pray for no more sufferings, I realize that I wouldn't have found myself if I didn't have any. It's sad but precious.

Job loss

Postby wonderbunny » Tue Jul 19, 2005 9:31 pm

I have searched for so long for the right career and realized I had so many interests and hobbies, and only one life to live. I try out new things because I enjoy the journey and expanding my horizens. Life brings people and changes in interests and focal points. What was so important in college was competely different when I had a child. I've read fascinating biogaphies of persons with no college but filled to the brim with passions that remained dormant till later in life and then 'Wham' they shoot to success following their dreams rather then what family or society thought they should be doing. Thats the goosebump stuff!

They are the lucky ones and are far and few between. Most of us just do a 9:00 to 6:00 to pay the bills and mortgage. There are sooo many people with talent and they do use it to brighten others around them, but never get around to realizing their full potential. It takes a lot of discipline and drive to make it. Is it ok to be the frog in a small well ? I think yes. As long as one has learnt from life and can create happiness, life is lived.

I haven't lost a job as such, but I was practically pushed out of a job. I believe that it happened for a reason. I looked for a job for nearly a year with no luck, but 12 weeks ago, I found something just right.

Everything happens for a reason, you will find that there are bigger better things out there that you never would have found if it hadn't been for loosing your job. 8)

Exactly. Everything does happen for a reason. Something perfect always pops up.
