quirky newsOk, I thought it was only me who didn't have luck with doctors.
I called quirky now and she said she discovered (herself!) that she is supposed to take 4 medications instead of 3. So she calls up the pharmacy and they say 'we told you the 4th medication is available at that other pharmacy'. NO They DIDN'T. This 4th medication is a sedative, and its absence was causing the shakes!! She's been on this since yesterday.... the medicine is not readily available. The prescription is the same as she was having at the hospital where she was feeling fine. No wonder!!! -
Ooooh...and you shoulda heard me chew out my case worker...
And every time I try to phone the doc I get a #$%#$$%^ answering machine....and I leave a message and they don't call back. Basically I thought I had all my meds. Yesterday I drove into Rockford to go to a clinic to get a blood draw.... I waited an hour and a half and then they told me they couldn't work me in. So I drove back home. (Me negotiating large city traffic is funny.) I pulled out my discharge instructions...I'm also reading my 4th book about manic depression and it had a GREAT section about meds. I realized that I only have three of FOUR meds and the one I'm missing is the one that calms down the central nervous system. This still may not get solved today from the looks of things. Poor Quirky....I'm so glad you kept at it to find out what was going on.
When I had my son, the hospital "forgot" to send the pills that would help relieve the constipation pregnant women have because of the extra iron that they take. Needless to say, I felt like I was giving birth again but through a different exit!!!!! EWWWWWWW...... There were also pills that the doctor was supposed to give me when I was ready to stop nursing so I could dry up. Nope, those were forgotten also, even though he knew I had to quit nursing (I was pregnant with my 2nd!!). I had literal rocks for breasts for several days before I went to the doc in severe pain and he says,"Oh yeah, I FORGOT" grrrrrr Love you Quirky and thanks for the updates, Mav.
Wow Janel. That's some vivid language. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

I'm still praying lammy.
The doctor didn't call back yesterday or so far today and they said he's going on vacation. My mood is good. I'm still having the shaking and sweats though. Is it so much to ask for a doctor to phone you back? "When in doubt, tell the truth."

The "special sauce" is Thousand Island dressing.
I got my meds last night about 6. I feel slightly better. Today in the mail came all my mail from home. Thank you for the sweet card Jiminem. There are hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. And a letter from the state saying I'm not entitled to any assistance because I'm not disabled. Iwon'tcryIwon'tcryIwon'tcry. I wish I hadn't gotten sick. On the flip side. Poetry.com send me a letter saying they were giving me the Editor's Choice Award. "When in doubt, tell the truth."
