To kill a ....mouse

Postby mav » Sun Oct 23, 2005 8:26 pm

This couple fell out over a mouse. What is wrong with killing a mouse? Don't they spread diseases?!

"Years ago, my girlfriend and I made dinner in my apartment. As we were washing the dishes, a small, adorable mouse popped out of a nearby cabinet and scampered into the sink (I dunno, maybe he wanted to take a bath). I wanted to scoop him up and relocate him gently out in the yard, but before I could broach this idea, my girlfriend lunged for the tap and drowned the poor thing. Not the kind of move that gives you a warm feeling all over… "

My 9 year old sister has a pet rat. Her first one was brown and had cute little whiskers. Her new one is white with red eyes. It's kida creepy. But I loved her first rat! It was soo adorable. It had such a cute personality.

I remember one very hot and humid summer night, 110 degrees and I had all the doors open. I just returned home from work and I was louning on the couch in a daze with a cool rag on my head when a very large rat strolled passed me. From the cornor of my eye I glared at the enormity of its size;and wonder how am I going handle this situation. Too hot to move and too frighten by its boldness. I chose to just lay there and observe the vermin. I pattered by, stopped and looked at, and then scampered out the door. I walked over to the window and he jetted into the ivy hedge. Creepy. I decided to close the doors and just enjoy the solitude. Uninvited guest with four legs can be a problem, where were my cats when I need them?
