Dutchies, come see me in my play!

Postby cableclair » Thu Oct 27, 2005 10:50 am

Hey all! Time for some shameless selfpromotion! I'm in a play next week, and maybe some of the Dutch people here want to check it out! I'm playing Mary Warren in the play THE CRUCIBLE by Arthur Miller. We're performing it at the Sugar Factory in Amsterdam from the 1st - 6th of November. We have a site too and all with all the info:

THE CRUCIBLE
by Arthur Miller

1 – 6 NOVEMBER 2005, AT NACHTTHEATER SUGAR FACTORY,
LIJNBAANSGRACHT 238, AMSTERDAM.

RESERVATIONS at [email protected]

When evil attacks a community, Church & State join forces to root it out.
But when the 'evidence' points to your neighbour, where will you stand?

Arthur Miller used the horrifying events that took place in the small town of Salem Massachusetts over 300 years ago to comment on events that took place in the U.S.A. in the 1950's, in what would become known as the "McCarthy Era". Now Theaterworks Amsterdam presents THE CRUCIBLE in reaction to events occurring across a wide political landscape.

Following THEATERWORKS’ (formerly Theatergroep Trezoor) tradition of exploring classic theater that speaks to our modern circumstances, and presenting these works in a refreshing new light, Theaterworks presents THE CRUCIBLE in Nachttheater Sugar Factory, the Amsterdam venue that seeks to support "progressive and innovative theatre makers, and to provide them with an unconstrained and thoroughly professional, theatrical environment."

Presented in the original English, by arrangement with Josef Weinberger LTD.

Congrats on getting the part!
I won't wish you luck! because it's bad luck to wish someone luck when their getting ready to perform. . . so as Quirky said.. . . "Break a leg!" don't actually fracture it, it's a figure of speech. . .Ok I'm gonna shut up now because you, naturally, already know this. . .I think I've had too much coffee!

I wish I could see you, Have someone take pictures! :D

You'll be GREAT! Roll the nervous energy that you have about the casting director over into your part.
