Practical jokes you've played!

Portuguese_girl posted this on another thread....click on "Watch After the Show"Jim tells of a practical joke he played.

I'm not much of a prankster but when I was in HS, I pulled one that made a mess....I attended a tiny private school. We didn't have a music program so the public school let me join them for choir (I know...) and twice a week I would drive myself to the public HS and go to choir. My little sister had a boyfriend that attended this school and she would write him a note to be left on the drivers seat of our van (again, I know....), he would get it between classes while I was in choir. I was sort of their "love-mail delivery system".

One morning, my sister woke up sick and didn't go to school and felt too awful to write a note. I thought it would be funny to write a note making up a story and she and I giggled as we made up a story about her being so sick that her lungs filled up with fluid and she actually died in the night and that I was so sorry to have to tell him like this but she was in a better place and if he didn't believe me he could call the funeral home and we listed our HOME PHONE NUMBER (which he called every single day) as the funeral home's number...... :-k :-

What we thought would be a harmless "got'cha" when he read the note and realized that it wasn't true, turned a HS upside down. When he read the note, he was so distraught that he ran back to class and, sobbing, told his teacher that his girlfriend had died and he couldn't go to class. She sent him to the office where they excused him for the day. As word traveled through the school, kids (many didn't even KNOW my sister)were sobbing and telling their teachers that, they too could not deal, and were EXCUSED BY THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE!! The kicker was when a teacher from the school called us that night to offer her sympathies to the family.....my parents were like, WHAT??????? And honestly, my sister and I were like, "I DON'T KNOW!!!!!! What did we do??????

That night a very sheepish boyfriend showed up at the front door....he felt so dumb that he had over-reacted and not read the entire note!! We felt bad for tricking him in such a weird way!! It was so cute to see how relieved he was that his girl was ok....he kept looking at her and reaching out to touch her while we were all laughing at him......

Your turn......any good practical jokes?
