Great Memories of 2005...

Postby thecablegal » Thu Dec 15, 2005 2:35 am

New Year is fast approaching, and I wondered what good memories of the past year you all have?? Are there things you are proud of? Do tell!!!

I have a few:

Getting my job at Tesco
Making my new friends at work - It's not easy for me to talk to people
Travelling by myself for the first time, to Coventry
Going to London by myself - Probably the proudest I've felt in a VERY long time
Seeing Frank Skinner live. I'm glad I had the guts to go all the way there, it was well worth it. Probably one of my greatest memories ever.
Making a very hard decision, and getting someone out of my life, who was making it hell
Moving into my new house in March

Loads more, but I could go on all night, and I shouldn't.

Your turn! :D

This isn't necessarily a memory, but its something I'm proud of. The boyfriend that I had and got rid of at the beginning of the year gave me terrible memories that I am just now getting over... and I'm happy for it. And finally forgiving him when any sane person would quickly hold a grudge for the way he was to me, and I am proud that I can do that. 2006 will be new and fresh.

And as far as memories... when my sisters boyfriend moved back in with us.

And how could I forget this one? Coming to JCO. You all are awesome, lol. I've made some highly cool friends here that I love to death. I'm glad I found the site :D Weeeee.

See, the thing is....2005 was a really bad bad year for me.

I am happy I met the people here, though.

Yeah, I'm sure we all understand Quirky.

We're all here to make your 2006 the best year ever for you!

I'm glad I met all the people here, but I joined in 2003, so it's not really a 2005 memory.

Here's to 2006!

I can say that 2005 was an interesting year as well... good things happened, JCO happened..., but sad things happened as well... the loss of a loved one... I just hope for a better, more prosperous year...

Here's to 2006!

2005 was the most emotionally rich year in my life thus far. Prom, first girlfried. . .first breakup. New friends, JCO. Sophomore in college, All A's (except history) JCO. Meeting new people on JCO. and doing my best to make the people around me feel good. Not to mention the shlump of depression I fell into around the time of my break up. It's all made me a better more well-rounded person.

I remember the times when I watched jims films back to back to learn the words after a weeks learning I know all of Ace 2 Dumb and Dumber Bruce Almighty and some of Me, Myself & Irene.

Its a great feeling to be able to play films in your mind from beginning to end. It helps a lot at school if I have nothing to do or if im bored.LOL

2005 has been a very interesting year (i love the confusious saying/curse: "may you live in interesting times") "interesting" connotes such different things than its definition...sorry, i digress

one of the best things about this year has been finding "ya'll" on JCO...it's really been quite a theraputic find for me to log on and spout off about just stuff - it's really fun! i thank everyone who has bantered about with me and even those who haven't

here's to a better 2006 even if your 2005 was the best year ever 8)
