Whats your favorite possession? (collectible, sentimental)Whats your favorite possession? (collectible, sentimental)I have a black/white acrylic painting of the Bania waterfall in Isreal, the artist is an unknown Isreali student who was travelling through the US with a group of other artists. Its stunning. It has that 'Kincade' concept where the painting changes when the light is adjusted. Amazing since its a black and white, with shades of grey; and its three dimensional. I've never seen anything like it before.
I have things which are so inextricably a part of me, that although i may not regard them as favourites, they are neccessary and loved......
My watch for example..........i'm a bit of a clock watcher ( not OCD though.....lol) so i love my watch.........my car......i'd be lost without it......it has 'freedom' written all over it...........my books........i love them.......but i'm not a boring bookworm.......my sunglasses.....i have about 50 pairs.........the only designer things i covet........they're fun! but i'm not really that much of a material gal........ fluffy Fluffy
I have an antique bench that I convinced my dad to buy in Europe.
I have a chandelier he and I bought together that is so big, I doubt I'll ever have anywhere to hang it. When I was little and my grandparents would visit, mom and I would always hide miniature animals around the house, the ones that he didn't have in his collection and he would have to hunt them down. I have the collection of miniatures and a wooden frame/box that my great-grandfather made for them. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

I just had an epiphany that I don't really own anything. Come to think of it I did pray to reduce my burden
My favorite possession....my shoes literally speaking....my sanity and strength figuratively speaking.
Yeah, I know when I meditate that things mean nothing...but they
DO mean something to me. Not many of them....I mean, I don't wan to be a millionaire, but it WOULD be nice to say, "See that? Yeah, it's pretty, I can remember when my father and I bought it." The memories it brings connects me to him. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

one of my prized possessions is a paddling board that my dad used on his students when they misbehaved (this was back in the 60's when you didn't have to worry about being sued) he had all the students sign the paddle after they had been "dealt" with...some of those on the board ended up being my teachers later on (my dad was 43 when i was born) he wasn't abusive, just firm with his students...
i also have a wonderful snowglobe collection: some expensive but most ov them are the cheap plastic kind...my favorite of all time is the "pope in a globe" that i got in front of the collesium in rome. last but not least, i have an awesome converse chuck taylor shoe collection...38 pair at last count and i know there will be more...i've worn them since i was little and started collecting them once my feet stopped growing i would say my dog but i do not think of him as a "possession"
I have many many Star Wars collectables (maybe because I'm a collector) but My most prized possesion is my keyboard,
They can take away my stuff, but they'll never take. . .MY MUSIC!!!
My big Renior umbrella, it has the 'Boat Party' colorfully displayed! Its so unique I could not resist it!
