but a problem shared is a problem halved............so if you have any burning issues on your chest and you wanna offload feel free........... .........and perhaps we can all come up with useful advice for each other.

I heard that depression is linked to lack of sunlight for some people. I think there are special lights you can buy that may help. For me this time of year I am resting more, and it feels OK to me. Luckily where I live it is getting up into the 60's (sorry I don't know the C conversion), so I can get outside and get exercise and sunlight, which really helps, when I feel like nothing else will help.

That's Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). It can give some people some feelings of depression, but I wouldn't say all depression is linked to it, by any means. I think those 'daylight' bulbs are helpful. Apparently. :?

Anyway, I feel lucky that I am a 'glass is half full' kinda person and always try to see the positive in any situation! :D I've had to dig deep on those resources these past few months, lol, when the company my bloke works for shut up shop as the owner moved to America. Job hunting.....such a stress!

I am also looking for work. I like to think I am I glass half-full kind of person, at least I try to be. I try to be optimistic whenever possible, especially about the future. But I struggle with my own issues thats for sure...

Good luck with the job hunting! It's the financial worry of the main breadwinner needing a new job that's the worse I think. But luckily I'm not a born worrier and can get things into perspective and look forward. :D

It takes a lot of soul searching (and heartache) to dig deep into yourself to find about who you really are. It can be quite an eye opener, but hopefully at the end you can be more self aware and congruent with yourself! 8)
I think I have travelled a fair way down that path myself (phew!), but there's always further to go....

You? Did you mean me personally or you in the sense of other people?

Awareness doesn't have to be only of the self, but its cool... Actually i don't know, it depends on what you mean.
I think I'm ready for some lighter topics at this point...

Heck no, I was just talking generally. It wasn't directed at you, or anyone in particular!
Just waffling I guess. 8-[

I do that all the time with the word you, its interesting the similarity in the language even with the separation of continents and all :D :D
and people sometimes get confused! ( i keep having to use the dictionary as I find out I can't spell stuff, what a drag!) :D

Michele, I I know there's a word that means when the brain superimposes the missing/omitted letter or word to make the sentence complete, but I'm drawing a blank on what it is. But I guess that's how I'm feeling lately, like I'm in the middle of a sentence and somethings missing.... Unfinished or incomplete; I''m unsettled. I'm happy, but there's something out of alignment.

That is an all too familiar feeling for me as well. . .I've spent countless sleepless nights trying to figure out what it is. . .and never came to a satifactory conclusion, and you know what, once I accepted that whatever's out of alignment will eventually take care of itself, I felt so much better. Worry wears the mind down. . . just let go and focus on the fact that you're happy.
I'm not saying that you're worried, but the fact that you realized something isn't right, suggests that you want to know what that 'something' is.

wise words grasshopper............. ...........i've come to the conclusion that it's about opening your heart and learning to trust.........something people find so hard..........and yet it may be that i am too trusting..........but a life without taking risks is not fully lived......

i'm having a bad day................. .......so i'm singing this in hope.....

Bad Day
by Daniel Powter

Song lyrics
Where is the moment we need at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
