I love karaoke. There are a few songs I like to sing.

My favorite memory of it is when my college debate team was in Shreveport Louisiana and we went out to a karaoke bar.

We sang, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." All of us. It was hysterical.

Honestly, When I first saw Aunt Josephine in Lemon Snicket I thougt 'Holy Cow'! She's me! (up until a few months ago) I was afraid of everything. Horribly shy and terrified of almost everything and everyone. Slowly I started taking risks, doing things I was absolutely terrified of ; and there were a lot. The first was to do Kareoke, it was in a safe place. Linda Rondstandts 'Brown Eyes Blue' I'll never do it again, and most people will be happy that I won't. But I did it. And that was all that mattered! :D

See I'm completely the opposite, I suck at singing, but will get on stage and make a fool out of myself. . .because, hell, I like the attention.

I don't sing, in fact I haven't even rapped in a really really long time. . . I'm pretty much a piano man at the moment. Apart from Gospel Chior.

I get scared too.....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:39 pm

my voice starts to warble....
I tried the other day "Girls just wanna have fun" I took the Cindy Lauper suggestion and I did sooooooo bad. There were a few others that were bad too, but if you don't try you'll never get good or even know where you're range fits. I listen to some and they are great even fantastic at certain songs and bad at others. We all have to take the good with the bad. No one became a great poet, actor, writer without writing, acting or creating poetry.. it takes alot of misses to get a hit.
I love going and getting the courage up and helping others get the courage, you never know when you might find a diamond in the rough,
my friend BB sings the song "Grandpa" by the Judds. I'd never heard the song before then, so I loved it when I heard it so I ask her to sing it everytime she comes to Kareoke, she brings in the true spirit of the song.
