I have seen NOTHING to indicate to me that he's a mean person.
We've all seen comments about Jim being diva-ish, too.
Does that put him in league with Tommy?

check it out...............
http://www.thestandard.com.hk/weekend_n ... r=20060318 There are plenty of successful actors and directors who still treat people with the respect they deserve.........there's NO EXCUSE for being a shit...........and at press conferences, when you are trying to publicise your movie..........well he deserves to be panned.......... fluffy Fluffy
I wasn't aware of Tommy's reputation behind the camera... I still respect his work as an actor. But, I agree with Fluflly and people should treat other people with respect no matter what...
I haven't seen Batman Forever, so I cannot convey any opinion about the movie or the performances... Jim's career was ascending when he filmed Batman... and, according to a news report he said that Tommy scared the hell out of him... maybe today, with all his experience he would deal differently with Tommy's attitude, maybe he wouldn't deal at all...
I read that one. Sounds like his ire is mostly directed at paparazzi. But I'm sure they just LOVE to write great positive things about him after he turns over a table. The fact is, this is the only article available that mentions his mood. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

ok here is my stand on this issue:
1) In Val's defense, i think he was a heck of a lot better as Batman then Clooney. 2) they way Tommy acts behind the scenes doesn't surprise me....why do u think he plays mostly hard-a**es in his movies? 3) Give the guy some credit.....he is one heck of an actor/ director and earn the respect he gets. 4) Jim probably didn'y take much offense to Tom and him hitting Tome with the cane is his way at getting back at him in a jokingly kind of way. and 5) the reason Tom was cast was b/c his son/daughter wanted him to do it. And i thpught he was pretty good in his role.....it was something different than from what we usually see from him. I am part of an elite group of people......THE MEN OF JCO.

Here is another article about him... it mentions Jim as well.

Judging from the face and the expressions, I find him more than intimidating. The type that if you see them in a grocery store, you quickly turn away to avoid eye contact.
Is he married? I think I love him. -------------- However, Barry Pepper disputes the persistent rumours of strife on set. "There was no drunkenness or orneriness," he says. "But Tommy has a sort of archetypical Southern badass quality to him and that's just the way he is. You're not going to teach old dogs new tricks. So you kind of have to go with his flow." "When in doubt, tell the truth."

A friend of mine worked on a film with Tommy Lee Jones & Benicio DelToro called "the Hunted" a few years back. Apparently they took a break in filming so that Benecio could attend the Academy Awards that year as he was nominated for "Traffic" and Tommy didn't like the fact Benecio was nominated and constantly razzed him during filming about what a crap actor he was. So Benecio goes to the Academy and wins Best Supporting Actor, then returns to filming a few days afterwards and Tommy does not let up. They are preparing to film a fight scene, Benecio says something to him and the next thing you know Tommy goes haywire. He breaks Benecio's arm and they had to stop filming for a couple of weeks so Benecio's arm can mend. Another friend of mine builds high end custom furniture and Tommy Lee is one of his biggest clients. He flies him out to the ranch in Texas where Tommy lives and has him stay with him. Tommy Lee cooks and entertains him and his wife as if they were his best friends. They say he has a flash temper, but he's a man's man and they've never said anything to offend him or see that first hand, but they've seen others push his buttons and feel his wrath. I've been told by both Mr Jones is extremely competitive and has an anger problem. He can be as sweet as sugar or the biggest bully. I think he just needs a hug.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, he's been married to his wife Cindy since 1997. All of the good ones are taken
lol...........ok....some people love him....some people like him...........and some don't ...........then some don't know what to think..........lol......so we should call a TRUCE before we all start to argue............lol..........
Jim looks great in the catsuits though............yum yum........ fluffy Fluffy
