Ace Ventura Junior
17 Jul 2007 By Nicola West (Editor/Writer (UK))
After the distasters of "Son of the Mask" and "Dumb and Dumberer", you'd think the powers that be would realize by now, that sequels of Jim Carrey's movies without Jim don't work, but nope, "Ace Ventura 3" is planned for a September start. Penned by Jason Heimberg, Justin Heimberg and Jeff Sank, the film will star Josh Flitter who plays Ace Ventura's son, a junior pet detective who is after thieves of a stolen baby panda.
No stranger to Jim's movies, Flitter has had small roles as a bully in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and as Rudy in "Horton Hears a Who". Produced by Morgan Creek's James G. Robinson, David Robinson and Guy McElwaine principal photography is set to begin on 17th September in Orlando Florida and is set to be directed by David M. Evans of "The Sandlot" fame.

Time will tell how this film will fare without any of Jim's charisma or input but if the other Jimless sequels are anything to go by, don't be surprised if this movie doesn't see the inside of a movie theatre!
