Jim Carrey wins Webby Award

The 15th Annual Webby Awards took place this week honouring excellence in interactive design, creativity, usability and functionality on the internet.
Last year Jim Carrey won 2 awards for his official website. This year he won the People's Voice Award for Best Individual Performance in an Online Video for his portrayal of late President Ronald Reagan in Funny Or Die's Presidential Reunion sketch.
Funny Or Die, is the top destination for comedy on the internet with 9 Webby Awards this year. After hearing the news, Funny Or Die co-founder Will Ferrell said, "I always dreamed of winning a Webby, in fact in my dream I specifically win 8...so to win 9 Webbys is beyond belief."

The nine awards include the Webby for best humor site, four wins for Zach Galifianakis' "Between Two Ferns," including the Webby for Comedy: Individual Short, Best Web Personality/Host, and the Webby and People's Voice Award for best online Variety Show. Funny Or Die's "Presidential Reunion," won two People's Voice Awards, one for Comedy: Long form, and one for Individual Performance for Jim Carrey for his portrayal of President Reagan. Funny Or Die's "Bieber or Die" April Fools takeover won a People Voice award for Comedy: Individual Short, and in the Branded Entertainment category, Funny Or Die's "Snoop Dogg vs. LL Cool J: the Ultimate Halo Smackdown," won a People's Voice Award.
