Kick-Ass 2 in Total Film
10 Jun 2013 By Nicola West (Editor/Writer (UK))
Back in October 2012 James Mottram from the magazine Total Film was lucky enough to join the cast of "Kick-Ass 2" as they filmed at the Pinewood Studios near London. The article has now been published in this month's edition and provides a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes. Red Mist returns as Kick Asss nemesis in a film which promises to be darker, kinkier and even more fantastical than its predecessor.
The article includes quotes and interview segments from the director Jeff Wadlow, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz as well as the writers.
Jim Carrey plays a character unlike any he has played before. As the leader of 'Justice Forever' he plays Colonel Stars and Stripes, a character Jim promises, that's "Still far away from anything you seen. They called me up and said we want you to play this ex-Mafia enforcer, Sam Stefano. I got my own make-up guys together and we just started experimenting. It's amazing how little you have to do to completely change your personality."
Taylor-Johnson is quoted as saying "He's brought that mad kinda kooky style that Nic Cage in the first film."
The article contains some great film stills of Jim and the cast, interesting quotes and film gossip and is out now at all good newsagents.
