Access Hollywood Interview
04 Nov 2014 By Eva Arajo (Web correspondent)
The press junket for "Dumb and Dumber To" has officially started. With the movie less than 2 weeks away from premiering the interviews have started to come. Both Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels were interviewed by Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson.
In the interview divided by two videos, Jim was asked about being in his SNL again and his impression of Matthew McConaughey while Jeff was questioned about the show "The Newsroom" who is about to premiere his 3rd and final season.
They were also asked about why they decided to make the sequel now and Jim admitted he was "not big into sequels so he took a few years to warm up to the idea". But the fact that, a long time has passed and that it became a cult movie for a huge and different age group of people, did help the decision to make another one.
Regarding coming back together to do this movie again, Jim said "it was so fun, right from the get go. And it was in the first movie but in the first movie we were discovering what this was this time it was like; let's get back together with the family".
But it wasn't all roses since Jeff Daniels had won an Emmy, just the day before they started shooting and apparently he had 3 agents trying to talk him out of it before the ceremony even started. "Yeah. They were really rough on Jim. And I defended him for as long as I could and I said just play that fact.()".
They also talk about some of the physical challenges since they are in their 50's. And for those who are thinking if there should be a "Dumb and Dumber 3" - which the Farrelly Brothers are up for. I leave that answer for you guys to see in the video.
Here's the two videos of the interview:
