Jim Carrey About His Paintings
21 Sep 2017 By Eva Arajo (Web correspondent)
Jim Carrey has many talents and even though acting has been the one he's most known for, in these last few years we have seen another side of that spark that enlightens us.
This Saturday you will be able to see his Art Exhibition "Sunshower" in Las Vegas. But for those you can't, we are glad that Jim has been kind enough to show us his art through social media like he did on Facebook a few days ago, sharing this amazing painting:
You can see his eyes light up when he talks about painting has he did at the press conference for the documentary "Jim & Andy - The Great Beyond" at the Venice Film Festival where he even mention painting a new art right before coming to the festival:
"Since I was a little kid all I ever wanted to do was be in my room painting pictures and drawing cartoons and I had a teacher in the sixth grade who confiscated my cartoons of her being hit by missiles and things like that and then she sent them back to me when I became famous and it's always been in my womb you know, so literally now, I mean yesterday I finished a painting that I'm so proud of and I wish I could show it to you. It's soldiers being picked up in a helicopter one of them completely traumatized and crying the other peeking out and - I got it from this wonderful photograph - and this other soldier peeking out underneath the bandages and looking out into the light where home is somewhere and I did this painting and I didn't know.
I don't know what things are gonna mean until later usually but then just before I came here I went and I looked at the painting and it was pretty much done and then for no reason at all I painted a ballerina in the doorway because that's grace to me, and it was just like "okay the one looking out under the bandages is the one that finds grace, you know, and that's who we are, what we all are, so those things just happen and are beautiful and I don't remember the second part of the question, I don't know if I answered the first part of the question but I'm making sound and that's the important thing."
The painting is wonderful and we are very proud he was willing to share some of them.
We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come and we try not to burst with pride to being Jim's fans.
