ET Online Exclusive Interview
12 Jul 2020 By Eva Arajo (Web correspondent)
We love when we have more interviews to talk about. Jim Carrey and Dana Vachon were interviewed by ET Online's reporter Nischelle Turner about "Memoirs and Misinformation" earlier this week.
When asked about the subtitle of the book being "None of it's real but all of it it's true", Jim mentions:
"It's basically using fiction to tell a deeper truth this book is about the fear of erasure and the ego and its addiction to relevance."
Jim was also asked: "Does the Jim Carrey in the book feel trapped and lonely by his fame?" He replied:
"I think everybody who's famous feels lonely. I walked through the door in "The Truman Show" and was thinking I would leave it all behind and just recreate."
We also find out that Jim Carrey will be doing Sonic 2:
"I know that Sonic 2 may be happening at some point you know which I'm really gratified by I get to go back and do that really off the wall silly stuff."
He also praises the show "In Living Color" as a propeller for his career:
"I wouldn't be writing this book. I wouldn't be in the place that I am without Keenan and Damon Wayans. Honestly I am so grateful and that's what it's all about, all that was on "In Living Color" was so great that I had to be great, I can't talk about itvery lucky."
