29 Mar 2022 By Eva Arajo (Web correspondent)
Well, it is the subject of the moment isn't it? Everyone was shocked when actor Will Smith, slapped comedian Chris Rock, live at the Oscars ceremony after he delivered a joke about Smith's wife Jada.
In a recent interview with Gayle King for CBS Mornings to promote "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", Jim Carrey weigh in, on the situation:
"I was sickened by the standing ovation. I felt like Hollywood is just spineless en masse.()" Chris Rock declined pressing charges and Jim believes he "just didn't wanted the hassle": I'd have announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200 million. That video is gonna be there forever. It's gonna be ubiquitous. You know, that insult is gonna last a very long time. () If you want to hell from the audience, disapprove, show disapproval or say something on Twitter or whatever, you do not have the right to ... smack somebody in the face because they said words," Jim continued, adding that "it was "a selfish moment that cast a pall over the whole thing."

This is a though situation but violence is never the answer to anything.
