“Knuckles” Production Has Begun
18 Apr 2023 By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)
With the huge success of both "Sonic the Hedgehog” movies, it’s no wonder that a spin off series, featuring Knuckles, was in the works. It was first announced in February 2022.
The production for the live-action series has officially begun in London yesterday, and many of the cast members of the movies will return: “Edi Patterson (“The Righteous Gemstones”), Julian Barratt (“Mindhorn”), Scott Mescudi (“Don’t Look Up”), and Ellie Taylor (“Ted Lasso”) will recur in the series. Rory McCann (“Game of Thrones”) will guest star, as will Tika Sumpter, reprising the role of Maddie from the films. Adam Pally, will also be back as deputy sheriff Wade Whipple and, of course, Idris Elba as Knuckles.
Sonic the Hedgehog director Jeff Fowler will also direct the first episode and will be an executive producer on the show. He shared on Twitter an image to announce the beginning of the production.

“Knuckles” is set between the events of “Sonic 2” and the future movie “Sonic 3” and will be released on the streaming service Paramount+. It is expected it will release at the end of this year.
We have no details about the story and there’s no information yet if Jim Carrey wil reprise his role either.
We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come.
