Jim "Carrey-s" on - Official statement to JCO from Mr. Carrey's Publicist
09 Nov 1998 LOS ANGELES (JCO) - It's official. Carreyholics (die-hard fans of Jim Carrey) can breathe a thankful sigh of relief.
Jim Carrey's publicist has stated to JCO that Carrey has recovered from a minor neck injury received a few weeks ago on the set of his upcoming film biography of Andy Kaufman, "Man on the Moon". He is out of the neck brace,and is on set continuing with the film's principle photography.
Jim Carrey was injured last September when a scene with professional wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler got out of hand. The result was a neck strain for Carrey, and a heart-stopping scare for his fans. Blame for the incident spread like wildfire among cast and crew, as well as fans of both Carrey and Lawler.
The altercation had an eerie instance of d�j� vu of the infamous neck injury Andy Kaufman suffered also at the hands of Jerry Lawler - complete with controversy.
Carrey's quick recovery is welcome news for his fans everywhere.
