New rumored project for Jim Carrey
01 Mar 2000 In a recent scoop sent to Dark Horizons, Jim Carrey is said to be interested in starring in "Survivor", a script by "Fight Club" writer Chuck Palahniuk.
According to the scooper, during a recent visit to Fox Palahniuk was told that the studio is very interested in getting "Survivor" into production. The only names currently attached to the project are Sam Mendes and Danny Boyle but apparently Fox execs told Palahniuk that Jim Carrey is interested in starring as Tender Branson ("Survivor"'s lead role) and that Jerry Bruckheimer wants to produce.
The source states also that the script has the same ingredients of "Fight Club" but attacks organized religion instead and it is said to contain some controversial sequences as an airplane wreck, a graveyard of buried pornography that stretches miles on end, and a Superbowl half time show that turns to chaos.
