The 13th Annual American Comedy Awards
14 Mar 1999 Jim Carrey was nominated in two categories of this year's American Comedy Awards. Funniest Actor in a Movie ("The Truman Show") and Male Guest in a TV Series (The Larry Sanders Show.) The annual event honors comedy performers in film and network, cable and syndicated television in 14 different categories.
The awards were taped February 7 at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles and will be airing Monday 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox. Dustin Hoffman will present the Creative Achievement Award to Writer-director Barry Levinson.
The Comedy Channel will also air a special behind-the-scenes on the awards, Sunday 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET and again on Monday at 12:00 and 3:30 p.m. ET.
